Good day to one and all. I have no way of identifying for 100% sure which Cummins engine is fitted into a friends Komatsu PC160-6K s/n K34179, manufactured 2003, engine 80kW (from the information found on the machine ID plate). The shop manual refers to a Komatsu SA4D102E. Was this engine built by Cummins and sold under the Komatsu name? I'm trying to find a new turbo for the engine, will using the Komatsu p/n 6733-81-8120 for the turbo ensure a perfect match? TIA for any ideas.
The engine is a rebadged Cummins and you won't get OEM Cummins parts. Komatsu would modify just enough of the engine to gain whatever they needed. The Komatsu part number is a good place to start. This is all proprietary crap. Its probably a version of the 3.9T
