Greetings! I have a 2007 Komatsu pc228 uslc that my boss had switched from ISO to Backhoe controls. Got a new employee that took it upon himself to attempt to switch it back to ISO controls, as he wasn't comfortable operating backhoe controls. Problem is there is no lever on this machine to switch between patterns, so he was attempting to switch hoses on the main hydraulic block under the hood. The main block has quick couplers on the hydraulic lines on one side for the right joystick and threaded hydraulic lines for the left joystick. Long story short he took off several hoses but in the process broke 2 of the quick couplers. These quick couplers cannot be simply replaced as they are part of the factory hoses. The ENTIRE bundle of hoses for the right joystick have had to be disconnected from the joystick and pulled out from under the house and around the stick, to replace the hoses with the broken quick couplers. A VERY TIME CONSUMING PROCESS. The hoses are color coded from the factory with zip ties to identify them. The employee did take a picture BEFORE he started this process but neglected to clean off the dust and dirt that accumulated on the hoses, thus making identification of the color coded zip ties impossible. Would anyone have a schematic/pictures of the color code for the right joystick? It's a long shot I know, machine has been down for a week waiting on parts etc. I have reached out to the Komatsu parts dealer for this schematic and am awaiting their response. Any help would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks! Howard
Good day Howard & welcome See attached may help out. Kind regards Uffex
Thank you uffex! I got it all back together yesterday and all is well. To think this journey started by breaking something that WASN'T broken.
