Komatsu pc75uu2 injection pump leakage

Batkom · 2018-12-08 19:23

serial number of machine 7547 I had noticed the injection pump weeping earlier this year, but it seemed to go away after the machine warmed up. Had not ran it for the last 5 days, fired it up to move it today and noticed it was weeping again, and still seemed to be leaking/weeping after it was ran about 1/2 hr. So it’s leaking around a couple of the fittings that go into the pump body. The service manual does not say anything about working on it - just about removing the whole unit. So does anyone know what seals these fittings and if there is any thing that I need to be aware of to get these apart and fix the leaking.

Its just an oring around the top nut{delivery valve holder} & a crush type gasket underneath{delivery valve gasket} some of the DV gaskets were copper & some were nylon.. the copper torque is 30-35 FTlbs & the nylon is 40-45 FT lbs.. TRY RE-TORQUEING IT 1st.. 30-35 FTlbs.. Nothing is going to fly out atcha if u remove it.. THERE IS a spring & peg{volume reducer} under the top nut but its not under any pressure.. just be aware of it when u lift the holder.. so it doesn't drop out of site. You'll play h3ll trying to find another one, if u lose it.. IF it still leaks after retorquing it.. all the #'s u need are on the nameplate.. just call your local inj. shop & they'll look the pump up & get u the right oring & dv gasket.. The gas getting back & forth will cost more money than the parts. Good luck.

Thepumpguy: Fixed the leaks last night. Old O rings were hard. Cleaned everything, new o rings, and reassembled and torqued. These were the copper gasket
