hi my neighbour has just bought an old 95 kubota kx026 with 3500 but new final drive. was all working sweet for a couple of hours then wouldn't twist right. next thing wont twist either way. plenty of fluid, and boom and tracks still do everything they're supposed to. is it gunk in the control valve or something? Any help would be much appreciated.
Your battery is flat or not charging. If its like mine, it has an electric override on the boom and swing. Will still drive and you can still use the push blade. Well at least that was what was wrong with mine when it did as you described.
cheers mate- turned out the slew foot pedal was just a bit sticky. he pulled it half apart thinking the worst but was all cool (on my kobelco slew is its own foot pedal on his the pedal disengages swing to engage slew. just needed some wd40) thanks though- good to know about the battery thing if it ever happens.
