    Engine. Pump. What is this lever on top of the valve cover?

    Lever is probably a decompression valve to make starting easier. It's not entirely necessary. My old KH-70 had a D1402 engine, the original valve cover was damaged by over tightening one of the valve cover bolts. I replaced it with a valve cover off ebay that didn't have the decompression linkages and it started fine.

    That's what I thought it was, but....... Being not familiar with these Kubotas... Having to replace water pump (13321-73032), it's on the way.
