I'm having a drilling company drill and blast some rock for me on a job. What do I need to do to make sure that if ANYTHING goes wrong that they are liable and not me. Anyone have a sample contract/waiver they would care to share?
Go to an attorney licensed in your state, to see if what you want is even possible. What you want is not possible in some states, where there is joint and several liability AKA 'deep pockets'. Buy the words from him, for your waver, then you'll be covered by his Errors and Omissions insurance (make sure he has it) if he is wrong. Or use what you get here, for free... In other words, you wouldn't like it if your client asked for free advice about how to dig dirt, and didn't hire you. He'd be a foolish to do it himself, right? Go to a licensed lawyer for legal documents.
