I dont mind lifting somthing that isnt alive ,but when I pick-up and have my co-workers on the end my rope it gets me thinking. I have been hoisting my co-workers for 30 years ,The truck-crane we have is a national 900 that I bought in 2000. What are the ways I can check the extention cables without breaking down the boom if any?
If there isn't an inspection plate, some the cables go over a sheave in the boom butt. You can usually have some one watch while you tele in and out. Its a huge pain. I haven't tried this on a 900 and with all the times national was bought its hard to remember.
