We had one at a clay mining company I worked for. It was a tough old machine. Like the Energizer Bunny, it just kept going and going. A local scrapyard bought it back in about 1998. It is still in use now and then, at that yard.

thats how i felt about it, and if i were staying local id have already purchased. however im in mass and moving to land i own in tennessee, 990 miles away. i just found out its 107" wide so having it trucked would require wide load permits in every state between, and every time i have it moved to a jobsite. im interested in it for working my property (a forest that needs clearing for homesite) and think i could work the machine on stumping, clearing and pond jobs thereafter. im very close to purchasing a td15B drott trackloader as well that could work in conjunction with it. i blew a hose on the boom running it last week and pulled it off yesterday. its -16 fittings with 1" hose but i was disappointed to find that instead of standard JIC, it was an inverted variety where the swivel has a male stub inside. so ive got to figure out what that is and factor that into hose cost. most look great, but theres definitely 2 bad, and 2 more on the way.

anyone know if the stick on this machine interchanges with any other? i thought i read linkbelt and case were kissing cousins via sumitomo's marriage. ive decided not to buy the machine, but i am going to assist the owner in parting it out. its a 1981 LS2800A with 4500 hours thats fully functional with a mostly good undercarriage. it has a 30" esco digging bucket with nearly new replaceable teeth and lots of hardface. the boom and stick look straight with no patch plates and only one repair. tracks, rails, pads, idlers, sprockets, motors pumps etc all good. located at 01109. contact me with needs, will ship wherever. i can create ebay auctions to give assurance of honest transactions. thats my first and last name, i cant hide. 413-tuzeerophor-0804 or mike_belben a t y ah oo.
