Looking at Buying S/A truck with multi lift for my bobcat biz. Looking at 2001 IHC 4900 with dt466 air brakes and "Stellar" multi lift ( 25000lbs??) How do I know what hp of dt466, heard they had different hp?? Truck has 500k km ex fleet rental delivery truck. I don't expect to put on more than 20k yr myself Anything particularly I should watch out for? Thxs
Call the local IH dealer with the vin number. They can print you a build sheet of exactly how the truck was spec'd out from the factory. IIRC there should be a tag on the block or the head that also has the HP number if its still attached.
