looking for parts for a h-65 pay loader in need of both clam shell clamps that holds the lids on the hydraulic oil/filter tank and the motor oil filter tank and possibly info on what motor will bolt up to the oem bell housing to replace a Cummins C-464c160 model all one pice valve cover motor and or info on rebuild kits for this motor would love to have it back up and working agin
I can't help you with parts. But, welcome to HEF !
Any help with tracking down parts are always appreciated
I bet it's a real beast when all is well with the engine.
A Google search for salvage yards or simply Hough H65 part should bring up some leads.
Found a similar one that also needs engine work. May have to have Facebook to see it though. https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/371641807532311
Welp with a long pause from this project my only working piece of heavy equipment went down on me so got back to this one took the starter from it took it apart and made a custom baring tool filled the cylinder with 50/50 mix atf/acetone after it sat for a year with chrol oil let it sit for a week placed a 3’ half inch breaker bar on it and gave it hell while working it back and forth got it to pop free got all the fluid out of the cylinder as much as i could sourced another starter got it installed hooked up some batteries with jumper cables from a rig to keep it all charged up Sprayed some crc heavy duty silicone spray into the intake and wouldn't you know it popped right off like it was never stuck from rain water getting down the exhaust so thrilled to hear it run after all this time of it being stuck that i have owned it and it not being usable now the fun begins with getting it all back together fluids hoses wires all have to be taken care of to be usable but at least the big hurtle is now out of the way now that it spins freely
Realized i was missing the oil cooler so went on the hunt for one found a rad with cooler for dirt cheep once i get it all apart i found that the cooler was shot so went looking threw a bunch of stuff laying around and found a hydraulic hose that was the right size with the right ends already made up so did what i could with what i had and made up support brackets and coiled the hose around so that it wasnt touching its self and zip tied it down to the cross bars so that there is something for cooling vs nothing was able to cut the one coolant pipe down to fit where it was needed for the lower coolant hose had the right bend and od size got it all back together now working on a gm one wire alternator and mount for it and going to have to make a hold down clamp for the hydraulic tank as its missing along with the oil cooler once the hold down clamp is made and in place will be able to fill the holding tank with oil and then will be able tk start it and let it run tk start going threw it to see what else needs fixed
If some one has the hold down clams for both the tanks and they are wanting to sell them it would save me some time from making them
used a band clamp from a 55gal metal drum clamped it to a metal rim and used a torch to heat it up while bending it around the lip of the rim to shrink it down in size and made a clamp to hold the hydraulic tank lid in place used a muffler from a chevy duramax that was parted out got it fired up and running used it to finish up a few things around the property had my boy running it helping me out lol was his first time running heavy equipment now hes hooked and wants to run it more used it to move a dead in the water case 850 track loader into a hole out of the way for the winter didnt even brake a sweat moving it was quite impressed on how easily it pushed it around cant hardly wait for nex summer to use it to get the rest of the dirt work taken care of so far happy i have it and will be working on the brakes nex summer as i dont have a shop up quite yet
