I gotta genie 1056 with a jd4045 and a dana spicer t20000 its had some problems and now it's super loud claddering sound it's making I can't figure out.. first off not long after purchased the machine transmission when out so sent it to pj to get fixed was fine for a year then breaks drive line from motor to transmission.. so took it to drive shaft place and they fixed it, but it now it doesn't have the rubber damper like the OEM one does but it works.. and now it's making a Horrible claddering with a pinging sound mixed in. No lose of power or function. It's just crazy loud. Is there a way to dampen drive shaft?

Does it make the noise all the time, or only when it moves?

The dampener is there to prevent metal pieces from being shaken apart. Sounds like that may be what's happening to your machine.

Might be your engine flex plate/ damper. The rubber/bushings get worn out and does make for quite the clatter and some vibration if they get bad enough.

Replace the damper back to original. Damage done by not having the damper may be a big issue

Well I checked the flywheel and adaptor plate no issues with those.. when I start machine with the drive shaft out no noise... ive determined the noise is coming from the input shaft and converter housing on the transmission.

Well at least you got it narrowed down. Bad thing is that if its not the yoke on the transmission side, u-joints or a drive shaft that is out of balance your going to get into a project there.
