I have a mid 1950s Link Belt LS-58. Recently it has been having an issue swinging to the left. With a small push on the counter-weight it will start to go. The clutch cylinder was leaking so I replaced that hoping it would solve the issue but did not. I started to think maybe the oil dripping all over the place when the cylinder was leaking is just causing the shoes to slip. My next step is to get everything cleaned up. But if it is only in the one spot could it be a different issue? I figured if it was just wet in there it would happen more than in just one specific spot in one direction. Anyone got any ideas on what it could be?
