Good day too all can anyone give an estimated time on replacing main position pump on a D8T ESN FMC01298 Does the cab has to be removed if so what’s are the steps.
Can you clarify which pump are you talking about, powertrain, implement hydraulics, or steering.?
The implement pump, the one on the right hand side for the auxiliary side of the engine
See attached. According to the procedure the cab has to come off. It may be doable without but that will be down to the people doing the job to figure out. Never done one so cannot comment on time required or cab off/on options.
I love the fact that the instructions start out with: a. Release the hydraulic system pressure. b. Remove cab. It's as if each step is as easy and quick to accomplish like the other.
Each of those two mentioned steps has its own procedure. What is unsaid is "refer to procedures for......" - in this case release hydraulic pressure + remove cab.
