Metal in hydrostatic drive motor

looneytunes · 2022-04-07 20:52

Drive motor doing erratic turning after rebuilding the front side of pump. Long story short the pump mounts got bad and the front bearing come apart. I cleaned metal out of the main housing, tank, and flushed lines but didnt go thru valve body on that brueninghaus hydromatik motor. Does anybody have any experience cleaning the valves? Can i pull the plugs and lines and blow it out and flush it with it on the machine or do i go thru the pain of pulling the pump and opening it up again? Any input or advise would be much appreciated.

If you had a contamination failure on the pump it’s too late to clean the motor. You have to clean the entire system before restarting the machine

I think that serial number is like 4199. It wasnt contamination failure but close to it. It was still pulling when we shut it down. The system is definitely contaminated. Not sure how to clean the entire system.

Take every single part of the system apart and clean and reassemble is the proper way. Lots of work.

Woowee yea lots of work. What about the valve. The part of the pump where the main supply lines hook in? I assume thats what got it hung up now. I didnt go thru it when i installed new pistons and rotor and regulator plate in the front half of the pump. The back half of the pump that runs that one side works fine.
