Hi New to site I have the opportunity to buy a Michigan 12 B tractor shovel I was wondering if it's possible to still get parts also the rear wheels seem small for the size of machine can tractor drive on grass ? Tractor runs poor but hydraulics work and machine looks clean
So it looks like that's a 40's or early 50's copy of the first Payloader, or vice versa. Yes, you can get some parts, but you won't walk into Autozone and look up a 47 Michigan. If it's not trashed, then the parts will be mostly rebuildable if you want to do that sort of thing. Some of the components will be common to other equipment, even trucks possibly. They were designed and used mostly for industrial uses, definitely not made for going on grass. Have you ever driven a forklift on grass? That's pretty much how the weight looks distributed. Is that a flathead gas engine? Not surprising that it's not running great. What do you want to do with it? Hopefully not much besides putz around.
