i just bought a military d7: serial 75e681, I don’t know the year. It has very low hours and runs great however the radiator has a couple leaks from what looks to be rust. Will the radiator pull out from the top or do I need to remove the nose? Also where is the most affordable place to get a core for it? Best price I’ve found is about 2000.00. Thanks for advice that will save me time!
Unable to find your serial number or prefix in SIS. Will say that in most cases the nose has to come off
The similar model 48A-6883 up. the radiator comes out straight up don't have to remove hardnose.Check cat classic parts. Good luck Bob
Just pull the hood pull the sheet metal over the radiator there is 4 bolts 1 on each corner you will have to remove the lower water neck off of the radiator to do this you will have to pull the belly pan that is under the hard nose disconnect top hose and pull radiator straight up
Not quite that easy, the seal strips on sides of radiator need to be removed, need to remove bolts on top of fan shroud in top tank ,4 bolts that hold bottom radiator mounts on and remove grill to remove bolts in front radiator mounts then it may come out. Radiator weights around 350# Good luck Bob
