I'm new to this site and am needing help with a mitsubishi bd2g. I'm trying to remove the steering clutch assembly. I have removed all the bolts on both sides but can't get the assembly loose from the flanges. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Let me guess, the steering clutch was locked up? The fiber plates as I recall have external teeth and are splined into the outer hub. When you unbolt one end or the other the whole inner clutch setup is supposed to slide in those grooves to give you enough space to pull the whole shebang up and out. The fiber plates seem to like to absorb moisture and rust to the metal housing. I don't have any good suggestions apart from the usual caveman methods. Parts don't seem to be terribly expensive for these luckily. Here's a parts picture of the internals: http://www.tractorparts.com/PDFs/MITSUBD2GSTEERINGCLUTCHPARTS_wm.pdf
