My Bucket Dumps Itself!!

Well, after having trouble with the loader bucket on Cat 416C not curling I turned to the knowledge of the forum. I replaced the resolver in the valve body. Now the bucket dumps, but without pressure. Sitting on the ground it is fine, but it will dump just as soon as the loader arms are lifted. The only way I can get it back level is by trying to curl the bucket while on the ground and reversing the TLB. Ideas, Suggestions?

Sounds like it is getting no hyd. pressure to the bucket. Can you power it the other way? Like if it is on the ground can you curl it under? What happens if you do this without moving the lever to curl it up? It sounds like you are only getting power to one side of the cylinder/s.

Not sure if it will dump under pressure or not. But if the bucket is on the ground and I reverse, the bucket holds it's position. I did replace the resolver which had a bad o-ring. Could a piece of the old o-ring be lodged somewhere in the system causing trouble?

Sounds like a port relief spring broken or a piece of trash stuck in it. If it is adjustable, try backing it all the way out (be sure to count the turns so you can get it back to where it started) then rev it up and pull the bucket curl lever a couple of times, then reset it back to original position, sometimes that will blow out the trash. If the port reliefs are not adjustable, try swapping the curl relief with a boom relief to see if the problem moves to the boom. Other possibilities are cracked valve section, piston seperated from the rod (you will usually hear the piston hit the bottom of the cylinder), broken spool.
