My first 580SK turbo

Never had a backhoe with a turbo on it. Engine seems to run quieter with it. It was a 3 1/2 hour drive home, that's about as far as I will go for one, floating cost just gets too high. Shown here on Highway #41, she got a bird's eye view of all the lakes and hills we passed, through some of southern Ontario's most scenic country. Noticed what looked like caps(#30) missing on one side of the bucket linkage and on the other side they were spot welded in. Anyone know what is supposed to hold these caps in place? I ordered #53 (D151034), in the picture. Phil Here is the text from CNH: "CAP one per each link, Ref. 26-28, THE CAP ON LINKS WAS ORIGINALLY NSS DUE TO THE WELD. WE HAVE FOUND THAT IF A CAP IS REQUIRED IT IS OK TO USE D151034 CLOSED"

Phil: Those caps use to fall out all the time..tap them in with a hammer and weld them in place. No need to go crazy just a couple welds. What can cause the arms to get a bit wobbly and pop the caps out are the tubes #31 and the bushing shown in front of it. Note: There are only bushings in the loader frame for the one tube. The other tube through #44 has no bushings in it but replace this tube as well. ( if you want the lower tube and bolt can be replaced by the bolt and tube from a 590SK as the bolt had a grease fitting in it. You can check for a part # on Case online parts ) It's a pretty easy job to replace them. Put the bucket on the ground level, use an engine hoist to sling cyl. Remove the 2 bolts #32 from the arms. Lift the arm#44 out of the way then lift cylinder up out of the way . Now with the arms off knock the bushings out, If I remember correctly there are 2 per side. Put 2 new bushings in and replace the tube #31. Now to assemble it ( 2 guys is a must) Put the tube in the bottom where the bushings are. Put the inner arm in place, lower the cyl back down and get it into the cap. Now put the tube through #44 and get it in place on the inner arm. Now try to hold that steady and put the outer arm on. Put bolts in and thread nuts on tight by hand. Now the important part. Make sure the tubes are in the recess in the outer and inner arms. They can get slightly out and if you hit the bolts with an impact they will jam up and pinch the tube . Gimme a holler if you need any help.
