I have a cat d5 gcrkg02286 thats not showing oil pressure to gauge. i had a new dash gauge and sending unit swapped out still no luck. tractor runs fine, there must be an issue with the ecm? if anyone can help please let me know thanks!!!:Banghead
You are talking about engine oil pressure, right..? The oil pressure sender is only a single wire feed to the gauge and has nothing to do with the ECM. If you have replaced both the sender and the gauge with known good/new ones then the only thing I can think of is a problem in the 464 Grey wire between the sender and the gauge. The 464 wire goes through two major harness connectors (CONN 34 & CONN 26) between the sender and the gauge. There could be either a continuity problem in one of those two harness connectors or even a broken wire in between them. To check that the oil pressure sender is working correctly here are the specifications: - 0-3psi - 227-257 ohms 7psi - 165-220 ohms 40psi - 91-113 ohms 80psi - 21.5-49.5 ohms If you want a wiring schematic to make sense of it all send me a PM with your email address.
