Need Help With Hydraulic Leak On Cat 953

I have a Cat 953 and have had a hydraulic leak in the same place several times. Wondering if anyone has any ideas. The metal tube in the picture is where the leak is at. The first time it had a pin hole and fluid would mist out, had it welded and after about 25 hours it leaked again. Had it welded by a different person and about 25 hours it leaked again. Then bought a new one from Cat and 25 hours later it leaked again. I was told this was a return line is this correct? The line has a lot of pressure on it. Is the pressure busting the tube or is it kinking some way? The old one was leaking where you see the weld, the new one cracked between the two bolt holes. Any Ideas? Thanks

Most likely you are 1- missing a clamp on that line, 2- preloading the line with a attached hose, or 3- the tank is loose,

Clamp is in place and tight. Hydraulic tank is tight. Don't know what you mean preloading the line with an attached hose, can you explain? Is it possible the loader is flexing to much with the clamp and tank tight?

Are you attaching hose to pipe before attaching pipe to tank? Sometimes when you attach a hose to a pipe and tighten it will twist and put strain on pipe, in short time they then tend to crack, kinda like yours is doing.

The way I have been putting the pipe on is starting both ends then tightening the tank bolts first then the hose to the tube end. Thanks overwork for your help.

That's correct, make sure hose is neutral when you tighten it up, sometimes you see it with new hoses when the ends are crimped in the wrong position and you have to wrestle to get it hooked up, hope I explained it OK.

You've probably got something wrong with the steel lines attached to the RH lift cylinder, possibly one bent or something and when the cylinder moves it's fouling on your problem line.
