My 180 starts fine but after around 15-20 minutes of regular use it will start to idle funny and then finally cut off. After about 5 minutes it will start back up and run for another 5-10 minutes and then do the same thing. I have changed the fuel filter, both air filters and the fuel solenoid on the left side of the engine. Don't know if there are anymore??? Any tips for solving this problem?
It sounds like classic symptoms of fuel starvation. The simplest things to do, loosen the fuel cap a bit to be sure it's not pulling a vacuum on the tank, blow air back into the tank through the fuel line to clear any junk, run it from a temporary tank to confirm it's the fuel supply... There could be electrical gremlins, or a plugged return on the injection pump, but the fuel supply is most likely/easiest to confirm.
I blew the hose coming from the fuel pump to the tank and it didn't help. There's another pipe on the far side of the tank that goes somewhere. Should I try to clean that also?
