New Kobelco SK210-10 jerky hydraulics

I have a new 2024- SK210-10 that is a little jerky when changing direction with all functions, swing and travel also. Its worst when multi-functioning for the spilt second when you change direction. I can only negate this by slowing down and feathering the joysticks. Swing is aggressive starting and stopping unless i feather-into the slew, it kind of thuds into slewing and stopping if you want to work at a decent rate. This gets draining over a 10 hr day and hampers productivity. Ive come from a smooth-as-silk Volvo 210 and admit im picky but i still think this machine needs some form of cushioning to the hydraulics. I dont believe the machine faulty as i found a couple of videos on youtube with guys highlighting this issue, they described it as 'Twitchy & 'Snatchy'. Seems Kobelco have gone for speed, power and responsiveness in this model and left smoothness under a stack of design drawings in a dark corner. I had a few ideas for mods with retrofitting a pilot accumulator a start. Seems odd it doesnt have one but maybe its not so effective in a positive control setup. A pressure compensated flow control valve could be placed in-line at the spool caps but this may slow down the function too much. As for the swing, possibly tweak the reliefs. What do you experts out there think?

All right dude, Have you tried working with "S" mode, or "E" mode? Have you tried different working modes?

I haven't even used H mode as im yet to hit 100 hrs, as per the manual you should go no more than 80% throttle up to 100 hrs to break in the engine. Here are the 2 vids i was mentioning, there is a 3rd one but i cant find it right now. First vid the guy sums it up in the first 3 minutes, second vid is a little long but fast-forward to about the 11 minute mark. These are experienced operators. Its not terrible but if i can improve it i want to as im the owner operator.

Here's the 3rd, skip to the 07:30 minute mark

We fixed the jerky switching issue with the Genie Model S105 boom lift. We added Hydraulic Flow Control Valves. They are very inexpensive and have worked great. You can buy from Amazon: Bailey Hydraulic Flow Control Valve with Full Shutoff/Free Flow Action - 5000 PSI
