Good evening everyone, I have been lurking for a while and this is my first post. I recently got a John Deere 450c and am having an issue with the steering. When I am going forward booth levers work great. When I am backing up the left lever barley works. Is this an adjustment issue or something more serious? Thanks Evan
Sounds like you need to adjust the brakes. IIRC, if you're having to pull the steering lever more than 3"-4" at the tip then they need it. There's a plug with a 3/4" drive fitting on the head that's located right above the track about at the back of the battery box(same location on the other side) that you unscrew to adjust them. They're just the simple ratchet style adjuster.
