Newbie on his first thread! I have some questions about this particular Crawler Crane (P&H 440 AS). Pardon for the long intro. Maybe someone can help let me know if they happen to stumble to a company that sells this particular type of crane? I'd be glad seeing my inbox with informations about this crane being sell somewhere (a trusted & relieable company of course), because i'm located in the far South East Asia. I pick this crane is because it is easy to maintain with the simple systems, instead of those ones using solenoid. It is going to be used on a remote sea-side area where rusting is a major problem for those solenoid spare-parts & human resource such as mechanic is rare to over-come problems with solenoid powered cranes. 1st phase of work is inserting piling foundations for a small size dock (port). This P&H 440 AS is using a lining system where no solenoid is involved (can anyone tell me the technical term for this particular system?) yes, it's that one system that is produced JUST before the hydraulic / solenoid system. Eventually this crane is going to be put on top of a barge. The other option i have is the Link-Belt LS 108 (but it's 45 Ton) , which have the same working system (correct me if i'm wrong). Any idea which company that is well known for selling used cranes with honest condition report and good reputation? Last question, do Link Belt has any 40 Ton Crawler Crane with the same working system (not solenoid) ? I hope you guys will feel comfortable enough to discuss these type of cranes and those ones produced in the same decade. and help this newbie get a little more extra insight slash knowledge from the western part of the earth : ) Warm greetings from the far South East Asia. Cheers! Here's some photo of the crane i used to work with (no more) because this particular job needs that particular 40 ton Crawler!

My opinion, I'd take a Link Belt LS108 any day over that P&H. Link Belt has better winches, and the hydraulic brakes on that P&H are not as trouble free as the Link Belt brake components.
