Went to check the oil in my 1990 International 4900 with DT466 and the stick was broken off from the screw down cap. I managed to extract the dipstick from the tube, and attached it back to the cap. However, now the cap does not screw down. Does the cap need to screw down? If I want to replace the dipstick with a new dipstick, does anyone know what to order? I don't see any online for my year. Do I buy a generic one and cut it to size or what do I do. Prefer one that is for that year of DT466 engine.
