Oil Leak from Speed Sensor on New Holland T6070

Hello everyone, I’m working on a New Holland T6070 tractor, and I’m having an issue with an oil leak from the speed sensor located near the rear axle and the main pump. The sensor is mounted on the transmission housing, specifically on the rear right side of the gearbox. I’ve replaced it with a new sensor, including the original housing and a new seal, but it still leaks when the tractor is hot and during operation. When the tractor is stationary and running, there’s no leak. Has anyone experienced this issue or knows why this might be happening? Could it be related to a clogged breather vent somewhere, pressure buildup, or something else? Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

It could definitely be caused by a clogged up breather. Is this a hydrostatic tractor by chance. Not sure there would be a breather in one, if it is. Are you using any type of sealer on this sensor? A picture would probably help.

Could be a bad speed sensor, have had that happen before.

Ok its new one possibility of faulty sensor. But i looked oring seal an its good. What is the pressure inside in i think that there shouldn't be any fix me if i am wrong.

Depends, is it hydrostatic drive. My Kubota has a sealed rear end and axles, as its the resivour for the pump. If it’s not hydrostatic, then no, there sho be no president the axle.

Funny, I looked it up and it does say hydrostatic but I can’t believe that axle and housing are under pressure. It really sounds like a clogged vent.

From a quick search. Every picture shows seals and looks like a hydrostatic transmission to me. There is a vent, not sure which side but right above where the axle bolts to the transmission housing. There is a bell in the casting and it’s about an 1” down from the top. Looks to be a grass fitting, probably for the carrier bearing and a vent, with a black cap on it.
