would you have information on old caterpillar excavators year of construction 1980/1980, PC 180 NLCK -PC 180 LC 3 measures twenty tons with livery colors yellow background and blue-white stripes? what benefits do they have that merits and defects. thanks Komatsu PC 180-NLC 5
Forgive me that looks more a Komatsu than Caterpillar
It's a Komatsu PC150-5 house mounted on a PC200-5 carbody. The PC150-5 was the sports car of excavators in their day. Faster cycle times than anything I had been on to that point. Six cylinder engine with a pump that was special built for that model. They made lots of house payments for me twenty five years ago. The bad part of those hybrid models was the slewing bearing were always what fit the house. A PC180 would have the smaller bearing of the PC150 and a modified ring on the carbody to fit it. They had a PC360 that was the same which were popular on logging shovels. The slewing bearing usually lasted five to seven thousand hours and you had to undeck the house to change them.
thanks for your opinions, in reality it had a similar one an old colleague and I have talked about it well praising the performances, I allowed myself to ask more people for more opinions and information thanks again
