Grey market machine with a Hino 6 cylinder motor, Has round 6500hrs on machine, runs hot even during lite work, let it sit few mins an cools down rapidly, new thermostat, even tryed running without it, tite belts, washed radiator an oil cooler out, even sent radiator to shop to get rodded out internally, Had injector pump An injectors reworked, has water flow threw top of radiator while looking inside while running. Smokes blue smoke steady, checked compression on all 6 holes. Press is as high as 375 psi an as low as 345psi in one hole, Does not push water out from under rad cap either, nor does it use oil, nor have to keep adding water. Done nearly everything except change water pump out. But we did replace the electric throttle control actuator yr ago an it don’t idle down to normal rps like suppose too, but does idle up when ya operate controls. It’s probably idling round 1200rpm guessing. An useing more fuel than use too. Tryed setting controller useing the dr ex hook up before an it got frustrating. Any ideas?
How hot is it running ? Are you going by temp guage or checking with an infra red thermometer ? Is the exhaust in good order ? Are the hydraulics unloading propperly ,or running hot ?
We installed a manual temp gauge at thermostat houseing, an run machine prob 30 min area during lite duty an manual gauge reads 212, compared it with infrared gun an it shows same temp at houseing, Then measure top or radiator an it shows 190. An go to bottom radiator hose an it shows 200, All hyds seem to opperate fine, Did notice if leave engine hood up it will run lil cooler, did compression tests an have any were from 345 to 375 psi in all the holes, But specs call for 450 to 500 area. ?
Sorry. For not information of correct temps, The machine will get well in the red zone in the gauges, but the manual gauge will actually show it over heating before hand gets into red, let machine sit an idle for 10 to 15 mins an temp goes rite back down,An checking with hand held gun temps will be up round 220 area an higher till get scared of severe damages then we shut down.
The temp difference between top and bottom of rad seems way too small
