A friend got an older Hitachi 200 LC3 ser# 14c ?????. The problem is that all the hydraulics pull the engine down on its knees or won't work at all . In order to travel he has to roll the bucket and keep the bucket stick in full ,then it moves . i believe it may have two pumps , just wondering if swash plates in one pump are not working on one pump and the other plates are at 100% all the time . I don't know much about hydraulic issues . Anyone with ideas i can relay to him ? Thanks
A good place to start is to make sure the engine is performing properly. Check the fuel system screens, tank and lift pump air cleaner. If that checks out ok then onto the hydraulics. A starting point here is to pressure and flow test all 3 pumps and the rest of the hydraulic system. If you don't it becomes a very expensive guessing game.
