Over the tire tracks for tandems

Has anybody ran a system like this in sand or mud? righttracksystemsinc.com As soon as I said sand he got quiet. For what they go for you have a hill of other options. I remember seeing a similar system on a red mack R model somewhere. Im thinking they wouldnt hold up too good if you ran over a clod and stretched the track (or your axles) without bogies in the middle. It will raise ratio also. Was looking for a edge in sugar sand without building a road.

It's belting, expect performance based on that. Similar to the old Nodwells and etc. The military used to have some belt systems for tandem drives, dunno if anything is still available around. How far you gotta go, how many trips, hauling what? Might want to look at a rubber tracked dumper or two (or six, depends on the size of the job).

I did find the military thread for a missile launcher with tracks. They modified a pre challenger bottom. Impressive at 70 mph! When the river floods it washes 1-5000yds of silt on to a sacred athletic field. The hauls are around 1000' happens once every year or two, sometimes twice a year. Currently a ctl/6 push the fingers and an army of wheel skids get it out in a short week. Track dumpers would be ideal. Not available up here on short notice. A truck wouldn't work on this application unless you could get the ground pressure down, way down. Pretty tough to do. I have looked into the terra gator style (4 to 6 wheel) of hauler but anything that would work for rental is setup as a lime spreader. Currently if a opportunity comes up in the sand portion of my coverage area i'm not competitive. 2000yd or under, 300-1000ft, 3" of sand sticker roots, if you don't have tracks or giant tires forget it. Was hoping to find a effective way to modify what I already own. It would be a time or two use a year. I really do not want more machines or a pan for the 6 nor a employee. Looking at these track systems and the potential nightmares i'm starting to turn back to terra tires and a deeper reduction.

Well, if you haven't yet, you might try Road Machinery on Morooka rentals next time you have a need. Or a challenger style tractor with a pan.
