Year, model # would help a lot. P&H made cranes for about 40 years so we'll need a little more to go on. Just for general info, they're usually just a button in the cab, to a 12v electric controlled, hydraulic soleniod in the lower. Wiring will run through the swivel to each solenoid. You can check power upstairs to the switch first, then go to the lower and see if its coming through. Usually its the button upstairs that's bad. Have seen a loose wire connection at the swivel. The solenoids downstairs tend to be pretty trouble free.

not sure about the year its a 20 tons truck mounted P&H crane the issues is that their is 5 wire coming down to the solenoids bank but there are 8 solenoids not sure how they are connected

Should have a directional valve, one way to extend , the other way retract (electrically controlled), Then one solenoid for each beam and jack. Left front jack, left front beam, right front jack, right front beam, etc. Sometimes the solenoids for the front and rear are located separately, sometimes all together. Should only be one directional valve.
