painting my 953

312King ยท 2014-02-27 08:20

So i decided to have my painter come over and paint my 953. I didn't want it to look like everyone elses and had painted my other 953 like the cmodel so wanted to do the same. Had him paint the cylinders black to kinda like the d model cats really set it off. The yellow os just primer today were gonna tape the black off and paint on the cat yellow.

Thanks for the info. I have never painted a piece of iron but that sounds like a good deal. Your '53 is in great shape, I bet it'll be top notch once your finished.:thumbsup

Thank you yeah. It should look really nice we just had a slight problem with the yellow. Lifting and wrinkling. Not sure why getting another gallon of yellow from cat Monday we think w got a bad batch because it was all seperated in the can the painter didn't wanna use it and against my better judgment i said mix it and spray it. Lesson learned

That 953 looks good. Put up some more pictures when you get her dirty.

Looks too nice to play in the dirt, just park it out front and plant flowers in bucket! NOT!! Just wash it once in a while and it will look good for years.

Where do you get your decals? Also, anyone else, where do you get your decals and is there any place where you can purchase the templates to plot (cut) your own vinyl decals? I have a 30" vinyl cutter to cut decals. Thanks
