First time poster, as I haven't found a thread on this: I have a late 70s Case 480C that I bought used many years ago. When replacing the filters, I just take off what was on and put on new one in its place. That includes 2 air filters: one that takes in the air from atop the engine cover and a second one that sit below it in the compartment. But I just saw in the manual that originally there was a cyclone-like pre-cleaner instead of the first filter. Any thoughts on whether I should go back to the pre-cleaner rather than the filter? Engine doesn't seem to me to run rich with both filters in use.
