PC 400 komatsu engine damper overheating

anyone ever heard of engine, hyrodraulic pump damper over heating has the correct oil and amount in case will overheat engine after running a short time and case gets very hot any input will be welcomed

    Please tell us what you think is the correct oil level. Over the years I've seen lots of issues with this.

    believe its about 1 quart 30 wt oil just enough to lube lower gear ,

    If you have a Dash 3 machine there is a square headed plug on the damper under the pump. If you remove that plug the oil should just come out the hole. On the Dash 5 and higher machines it will be a 17 millimeter bolt head and the hole is a little bigger. Is your speed sensor working?
