Want to add thumb to machine have a free hydraulic valve but not sure how to go from there
So your saying it's NOT plumbed to the stick?
which model machine do you have? Pc 045-5 or ?
Proper identification is paramount to good advice. We need more data.
Oook.....machine is a komatsu pc 45 not sure of the the year would think early color green w white lettering. It has a unused valve bank i assume its a aux. That i could tap into but not sure how or where to go from there.
Pc 45 early model has a free valve bank but no controls to run them to. Cant tell the exact year to faded
A serial number tag should be on the machine somewhere. Maybe a couple of photos would be enough is there is no tag. Does the machine have a swing boom?
Yes it has a swing boom the tag is to faded will try for pic
Not sure why sent to pic but....there they are any advice is apreciated
It has gray market color. I don't know about an extra valve in that model. The extra valve in those models usually ran the swing boom. There is an extra pump and valve used for running the back fill blade. On all of those machines I've inspected, the usual method is to install an electrically operated diverter valve in the swing boom circuit and use that to run the thumb.
I think i read somewhere that the free valve ran a hammer attachment
