Looking at buying a 2020 new holland c227 with 411 hours for 37k open cab. Are they good machines or should i run?
They are good machines. It should have some warranty left on it as well. The 300 series has a camera and a better cab and info system. This must be one of the last 200 series before they switched to the 300 series.
im just a little scared. Wachting these youtube videos, new holland skidsteers with only 300 to 400 hours and leaking oil problems.. im trading a 2019 kubota ssv65 for this new holland. reason im trading is i need to lift pallets of pavers and this kubota just cant do it... the nh c227 say is 2700 50% load, it might hold the weight better.. what do you think?
It looks like the Kubota has a ROC of just under 2K. The 227 is 2700 as you point out. I am not sure what you pallets weigh to say for sure whether that machine will be big enough. Have you demoed the NH machine?
no i havent. just seen one on youtube and they seem to be decent. the pallet of pavers are 3300pounds. i dont know if we count the weight of the forks that are 450 pounds
The machine can be counterweighted for additional lifting capacity. I think the machine would lift that, but you are a bit over the ROC of the machine. It is no surprise knowing what your lifting that the small Kubota SSL would have an issue trying to lift that. Personally I think you should have a bit larger machine. The NH 332 would put you with about the same amount of ROC that you need to lift those pallets. A large frame 337 would give more than enough. Both of these machines are nonSCR and unlike the Kubota, they don't have a DPF filter either.
What's the serial? The remote oil drain line is prone to wearing through if you don t clean your machine under engine. They now have a drain plug at the pan. Also the remote oil filter lines rub through. Dirt gets in the hose cover and is an issue.
