We see the switch on the drivers door have issues and /or where the wiring goes through the drivers door into the cab the wires break there, the pass side not so much as it gets used less (open and closing) be sure to check the fuse, each door has a 25 amp fuse. last would be the module in the door.

The module for both doors is in the drivers side.

The drivers door is the good kind with a crank. Will the module still be on that side? I pulled the switch from the RH door it had one hot wire and 2 others. I crossed the wires and nothing happened.

Does it have heated or remote mirrors with the control mounted on the drivers door? If it does then the module will be in the door.

It does. I look at the fuses and it had a fuses in that spot were it calls for a breaker and it look that hole had been arced.

I never did fix this one and it has a new driver he dosent care if it works the boss didnt want to spend any money on it. Last year the boss wanted the new guy to drive it in a parade so the window was brought up and i riged 2 switches on it one up and one down.Today it was raining and i got a call that one of the other KWs passenger windows went down on its own while seting in a parking lot while the driver was doing paper work. He was 2 towns over and said he would drive closer so i could work on it.L net him at one of the companys stations under the canapys i cut the window motor wires and held them aginst the wires that go to the little light in the door and rolled it up. I am going to look at it agin and see whats wrong but i think given some time a guy could with a pair of wire cuters make a newer truck into some thing that would be worth haveing.

I have had many a thought along that line.

On my peterbilt 335, the passenger window used to get retarded, and I discovered that the motor connector plug's terminals needed retensioned. Been good ever since.

It ended up being the modual in the pasinger door. It blow a fuse i replaced it and it went down with out with even turning on the key.I replaced the modual and it worked ok. So if a KW is seting its windows can go down all by them selfs.
