On a komats PC300-6 excavator, when engine temperature rises too high, the buzzer sounds and joystick stop responding to protect the machine. But how pressure stop going to PPC when the lock lever still unlocked and we do not have a PPC lock solenoid on the machine. So ther should be a valve electrically actuated to cut the pressure going to PPC when engine overheat, if it exist where is it located? Thanks, Michel
I have never known a machine to lock out the controls when the engine overheats. Komatsu excavators that I am familiar with derate the power out of the engine at one temperature and if temperature goes higher they will drop the engine speed to a little over idle. You can still move the machine if there is a dangerous situation. The fact that your machine is overheating should be more of an issue than the controls locking out. The fact that you are asking where there is a possible control for it tells me you are wanting to bypass that unit and continue to operate the machine.
It was just curiosity
