Any one purchase a new CAT 312 excavator recently, what was the final price paid for the unit?
I'm afraid to find out...
Sure would be nice to have comparative prices for similar size machines by Hitachi and Sany.
i know of a friend who was quoted 95,000 euro plus vat @21% for a new 312dl with 3 buckets and a quick hitch, bog standard machine, while back in 2006 at the height of peak boom times i bought a new 312cl with full track guides 4 buckets top spec quick hitch check valves extra lights cd player and a list as long as your arm of extras for 80,000 euro plus vat @ 21%. personally i think cat and their salesmen and perts reps are all a bit touched in the head they need a good kicken they sell cheap **** thats manufactured in china stamp the cat brand on it and expect you to pay over the odds prices just to keep their pockets lined, give me a new hitachi 130lcn any day for 52,000euro compared to its cat counterpart at nearly twice the price and cat finance is a rip off aswell!
price brother in laws 2011 cat 312dl with long stick and quick coupler and 2 buckets was around 135,000.... not sure if they sweetened the deal but thats what he paid.
daylight robbery forn an overrated machine that will break anyones heart, it mught have a nice paint job but easy on the eyes and a comfy seat doesnt make money, hitachi kobelco doosan all the way for half the price and less than half the running costs! i have yet to hear of a failure in a hitachi cooling system or oil cooler after 2000 hours every cat 312 has this problem
