Hello everyone, I'm working at construction company. We have a dozer CAT D6R LGP, year of manufacturing : 2000 and have the following problem. When the machine is moving, suddenly stop and goes to neutral gear. The mechanic thinks that the problem is in the park brake - by working, because of vibrations, the park brake is activating by himself. We can't discover where and what exactly is the problem - somewhere in the electric system or it's electronical problem or it's defected sensor. Does anyone have the same or similar problem ? Recently we have changed the priority valve and ecpc pump sol. Any info would be much appreciated! Thanks Strahil
Do you have the Serial Number..? Also when the parking brake comes on by itself do any alarms or warnings come up on the dash panel.
Hi, the serial number is 8TM00849. When the parking brake comes by itself, there is no indication on the dash panel and the computer can't recognize a fault.
If no warning lights or alarms are coming my first suspicion would be a bad wiring connection somewhere in the parking brake control circuit. Do you have an electrical schematic for the machine..?
I had a parking brake switch issue with my 05' D6R, it lost 1st gear and threw a code, ended up replacing the switch. If 2000 is the same there is adjustment in the tower below the knob, might be worth a look.
We use this scheme. From the official CAT dealer and service in Bulgaria said that this scheme is the same for our model.
Try this one. The Media reference is only different by 1 (SENR1728 vs SENR1729) but acccording to the Serial Number you gave your machine has differential steering. The Electrical Schematic supplied by the dealer that you were using before was for a machine with steering clutches and brakes.
