Just changed the hydraulic pump on a 580k s2 backhoe. The way I got around dumping all the fluid was to let the machine leak down while using, when it got slow I then change the pump. Parking the backhoe with the front wheels about 10 inched higher than the rear. After doing this I changed the pump, no fluid was lost, no pails of oil.
