good morning i am having problem with my hydraulic pump the pump is a HPV091EW when running the machine if i run it at low rpm it will run ok at a higher speed it will bodge down sometimes stall the motor, i was thinking that it might be a pump displacement selenoid, i notice that one of the bolts are broke on the no.1 seleoid, is their any way to check to see that it is good like ohms or voltage test, my manual has no data on testing, any help would be appreciated
Find resistance test for pump displacement solenoids below.
Last year @LACHAU posted a link to a complete EX200-3 service manual in a forum thread , see link to the thread below. HeavyEquipmentForums
good morning been busy, got back out there this moring and checked the pump controls and the pump displacement solenoid no.1 has 16.4 ohm no. 2 has 16.6 ohm, then i checked the p sensor wire terninals no. 2 and 3 has 3.42 ohm, the harness has 5.4 volts and 2and 3 has3.77 ohm, the A sensor harness has 5.6 volts and terminals 2 to 3 has 3.01 ohm, trying to find out if it is eletrical or mechanical the whole thing started when the wire connectors broke off the P sensor and the A sensor where the wires go in the connector then it went in to limp mode got the machine out of where it was got looking at and wire connect were broken off and 1 bolt on the displacement valve was broke off got it all fixed, and has not worked right sense then, started it up and the pump sound good ran for about 2 to 3 minutes ran with no noise and killed the motor, not sure were to go from here
You can check for service codes using the red LED on the PVC behind the seat. See the link to an older thread below. Post #14 shows how to enable the self diagnostic which sets a light blinking sequence, (if there are any codes). HeavyEquipmentForums . . The PVC is the bottom controller and EC is the top controller. Ignore the light on the EC. if there are any codes ,the light on the PVC will blink in a pattern of long and or short sequence.
thanks Dave i will try that if i can get a code or 2 that would help so that i know were to start looking, i was reading on here it might be time for a new wiring harness got a few patches on this one and it is old and brittle
No doubt it is brittle. If you go the main wire harness route , be sure to order “pump harness” # 3094204 as well. The main wire harnesses are now 2 piece.
thank you Dave, i did not know that i like that way of doing it the motor and pump area is the most brittle part from the heat i guess
