tried lowering my trans out this morning to change the pinion, i removed everything that the manual says to do. the it says to slide the trans forward and lower front end slightly then lower the trans to the ground. i dont have enough clearance to do that. the pinion is still inside the bevel gear housing 1/4-1/2 inch and the pump on the torque converter is hitting the flange that the pucks bolt to on the engine. which is my next question was i supposed to remove that flange on the back of the engine? manual just says to remove flex coupling which i took as the pucks and the flange on the trans.
I always remove the flange off of the flywheel
