Hi all, Do any of you know where I might find ROPS or a cab for a 1974 ford 4500? I've been clearing trees and am getting nervous without either one. Somewhere close to Ohio. Thanks
Alot of the older cabs were not certified as rops / fops structures. If they are it should give you the test weight on the serial number plate of the cab. Also if you have a loader on the machine you should have a rops with at least front posts and a 4 post is prefered. Should a log or something roll down onto the tractor, your toast without one. If your close to a certified welder maybe they can fab something up for you. Come up off the loader posts, over the operator and back down to the axles. Or something like that.
