Rubber track tentioning

1999 Volvo Mini EC20. My track came off on the drive end. I have removed the greese nipple in an attempt to relieve track tention however the tention did not come off. I also pulled on the track with a come along. tried (unsuccesfully) to put a piece of wood between the track and the sprocket and run it through. Nothing seems to work. Does anyone know if there is another greese zerk for pressure release on these machines? Should I just push the idler end harder with the bucket /wood? Thoughts?

If it looks anything like this: You need to unscrew the larger valve body from the cylinder, slowly to release the grease, there is a high pressure check valve in the body.

On my Kubota U50 2006 model the pistons of the track adjusters were completely rusted + the space around them was completely full with muck. If you already have the track off maybe you try and see if you have the same situation. On my Kubota one could easily draw the idler wheel out and afterwards draw the adjuster out. The spring behind the adjuster was also supposed to be able to be drawn out, but the spring needed to be knocked out with a sledge hammer. The adjuster need a new piston (the old rusty piston was not able to be pushed back in) And i suppose all the muck also prevented the idler from being able to push back in

Rust can be a real pain with these. Lantraxco is correct you have to take the complete fitting out not just the grease nipple
