As per manual, Traction lock functions only when seat bar is raised, parking brake switch is OFF, and engine is running. Allows you to use steering levers to move the loader forwards or backwards when using backhoe attachment. Functions as follows -Press the Traction lock override button once to unlock the brakes. The parking brake light will be off. -Press the Traction button a second time to lock the traction drive, The parking brake light will be on. I will assume that you you know all this but wanted to cover it anyway. If your still having trouble then I would look at seat bar switch or something is askew with parking brake, or traction lock switch is not functioning. Hope this helps.

ya that doesn't work either,. seat bar light goes out when seat bar is engaged the brake light and unlock light stays on. after i push the green unlock button, it used to make a clicking noise when it is engaged ,

Well, a clicking noise sounds like a relay. Have you checked fuses, and or relays. If fuses all good, you can swap relays, with another. Other wise you’ll have to pin out relay responsible.

fuses and relays are ok the noise of a click sound is when it was operating properly after pushing the press to operate loader button. the seat bar light goes out when the seat bar is lowered, what item when the press to operate green button is pushed is the current sent too? a solenoid ? book talks about shorts to ground, battery and open circuit, I cleaned battery post and ends. thanks for info sofar

Maybe this will help. Check for power and ground at solenoid.

Traction lock relay is Number 14, 3rd one down from top on left side, fuse is the 25 amp, second row, first fuse on left. With relay pulled out, key on, jump 30 to 87 and check down at solenoid for power.

It doesn't mean that is your exact problem, it means you have to diagnose it. You have to test each component involved. Don't know what kind of experience you have.
