What a week, I just pulled one truck out when another pulled up with the same thing only worse. If any one has a CAT 3406E I would go out tomorrow and tug on wires.

eew welding is never any good , we had a 3406B in a truck , wires would always be rubbing on something , luckly there wernt too many wires to worry about or any electronics to worry about hurting, those wires rubbing didnt short anything out did they ?
When it rains it pours sometimes. At least you knew where to start this time around. The real frustration comes from knowing you will see it again.
It was acting odd, it was cycling the fan on and off and intermitantly going into derate mode.
