Hi can any one out there tell me if you can buy a scan tool for a case IH tractors and what the system is called? Can you buy them of the net? My mates looking for one for his 1080 as it will cost a fortune for the dealer ship to get out to him Thanks in advance
What does he want to do? for the transmission or to get in to the engine controller? To go in to the HH menus for calibration and reading the diagnostic display you need a adapter plug that goes in the socket under the dashboard - basically this loops the 2 wires in there on B and G sockets. If you want to put software on controllers you will need an EST (electronic service tool) which is only available from your Case dealer
The tractors has the fault indicator flashing ,just basicly want to clear the fault codes ,didn't know weather you could use a OBD system scan tool or if it was some thing special
