Just installed a plug and play scangauge to keep an eye on oil pressure, transmission fluid temp and oil pressure. Worked out of the box.
I have one on my 2003 diesel Beetle. I cut a console top to let it in there so it is right in the scan.
I like being able to keep tabs on engine variables to insure that oil is flowing, temps are within boundaries, and charging circuits are good.
